Post event info – photos, blogs, video, twitter feed and more neat monitoring.

Social Media 09 is the UK’s seminal social media event for professionals working in marketing, PR, advertising & corporate communications. At Social Media ‘09 on the 12th November we’re expecting over 200 of the UKs best & brightest individuals from a wide range of organisations to get together for an afternoon of learning, demos and sharing of best-practice. This event is a half-day conference & masterclass that will provide marketing, advertising, PR and corporate communications executives with the know-how necessary to develop, execute and manage a social media strategy that delivers value.

The event will run from 2pm til 6pm on the afternoon of the 12th November and be followed by a networking drinks reception. In an afternoon packed with insightful and instructive case-studies delivered by social media specialists and clients at the helm of social media initiatives you’ll learn where to start, what to do, what works, what doesn’t, and what tools to use. Our aim is to make you social media savvy by sunset!

Unlike the one-way broadcast nature of traditional marketing, social media marketing is a series of ongoing ‘conversations’. Accordingly, the second part of the afternoon deals with engagement & monitoring and how to use the available tools to track campaigns and one’s brand and respond appropriately.

We aim to ‘eat our own dog food’ and use social media to both market, engage with and monitor the development of the event. We’re actively seeking ideas & suggestions on what you’d like to see included or what you think would benefit attendees in terms of helping them acquire the knowledge to effectively develop & implement a social media strategy. Please comment on this blog post or email us at team@mashupevent.com with your suggestions.
